Great news for the NAM’s Ball Corporation, a leading packaging producer in the U.S. The company, employers of over 15,000 people across the globe, has been named as the most sustainable company in their industry by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. After an extensive review of economic, environmental, and social criteria, Ball Corporation, based in Broomfield, Colorado, came out on top in all three categories. Special commendation was given to Ball’s outstanding scores in codes of conduct (integrity), customer relationship management, product stewardship (innovation and recycling) and human capital development.
Ball has made a conscious effort to improve on all sustainability fronts – and clearly that effort is paying off. John Hayes, the chairman, president and CEO gave the lion share of the credit to the men and women who make up their workforce. “Our employees make all the difference. Their talent and engagement make Ball a more successful and more sustainable company.”
They’ve set a high standard of excellence and they remain dedicated to meeting that every day – congratulations to everyone at Ball for an accomplishment worth celebrating.
