President Obama visited Petersburg, Virginia today to announce a new National Network of Manufacturing Innovation. The goal behind the program is to create a collaborative environment where manufacturers can get together and develop new ideas and best practices.
It’s nice to see manufacturers remain a focal point in the national discussion. Manufacturers are critical to leading our economic recovery and while the NAM is pleased that the President is speaking of bringing about a boom-time for manufacturers in the U.S., what we’d really like to see is the adoption of our Manufacturing Renaissance agenda – four goals that will deliver the growth and job creation we all want.
