By October 2, 2010Economy

A statewide group has been launched in Missouri, joining the Associated Industries of Missouri and the National Association of Manufacturers in elevating manufacturing in discussions with the public, candidates and elected officials. From the joint news release, a statement by AIM President Ray McCarty:

Missouri manufacturers know how essential manufacturing has been to our state and our nation’s economy. Missouri’s General Assembly has a strong history of encouraging investment and creating jobs. We need to convince our congressional leaders that those policies are necessary at the federal level as well. I am pleased that AIM is able to join this effort with the NAM.

Missouri’s manufacturers are the third group to sign on to the state manufacturing initiative, the others being Pennsylvania and Michigan.
