Despite a dozen years of declining employment, manufacturing could help lead the U.S. economy into a stronger recovery, argues John Engler.
“The U.S. should be the best place to have a corporate headquarters, the best place to do (research and development), the best place for manufacturing,” said Engler, a former Republican governor of Michigan who now heads the National Association of Manufacturers. “None of this is unattainable but all are at risk.”
