The Latest Global Climate Control Bill

Sens. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) released the chairman’s mark of the global climate control bill late Friday, and National Journal’s Energy and Environment Blog has the links to both the text — a modest 925 pages — and the EPA’s analysis of the bill, as well as reaction.

The Senate bill seeks to reduce smokestack emissions of carbon dioxide 20 percent by 2020 and 83 percent by 2050 from 2005 levels. The House target was 17 percent.
