    Pretty good interview with a well spoken Mr. Engler. John made some great points concerning the capacity we have as manufacturers that is currently not being utilized and the ever dreaded VAT tax. It’s also good to hear a NAM spokesman talk about other country’s trade barriers instead of always calling the U.S, the villain protectionist.
    Unfortunately the U.S. corporate tax rate had to be a closing argument even though the GAO has discounted that “fact” repeatedly.

    The Government Accountability Office said 72 percent of all foreign corporations and about 57 percent of U.S. companies doing business in the United States paid no federal income taxes for at least one year between 1998 and 2005.
