Marking last night’s retirement of Cash for Clunkers, here’s a little lecture on auto insurance, risk assessment, people driving wrecks, and companies wanting to sue dealers for causing accidents.
“Too many dangerous old cars on the road. The American public loves this method of doing away with itself. Everybody and his brother has grabbed hold of anything on wheels that will move and they’re out on the road doing 90 in cars that belong in the junkyard.”
Times have changed in the half-century since, thankfully.
