From Platts, “US Senate panel warned against derivatives regulation overreach,” reporting on Thursday’s hearing in the Senate Agriculture Committee, “Regulatory Reform and the Derivatives Market.”
The National Association of Manufacturers also warned against requiring companies to duplicate their reporting to multiple federal agencies. “While we understand the need for adequate reporting and record keeping, corporations already provide reports to the Securities and Exchange Commission and other government agencies,” the group said.
