As noted in the post below, opponents of free speech are involved in the health care debate. One of the favorite arguments — well, it’s not an argument…call to arms? — is “Don’t let X be swiftboated.” The simple use of the term “swift boated” is supposed to elicit a Pavlovian political response.
It does indeed elicit a response from this blogger, the humming of a jaunty tune from the early ’50s. Ladies and gentlemen, Jo Stafford!
