Card Check: Right to Work States Prospects for Union Organizing if EFCA Passes

Politico has recently spoken with the Service Employees International Union’s (SEIU) President Andy Stern about the current state of the labor movement. Mr. Stern made it clear that should EFCA passes he intends to have his labor union focus their organizing effort on states in the “south and Southwest”. Most of these states have “Right to Work” laws in effect. Such laws secure the right of employees to decide for themselves whether or not to join or financially support a union.
