From the Snowy West

By December 24, 2008General

Can’t end the pre-holiday posting with grousing and grinching about the jobs-destroying consequences of legislative overreaction. So in the spirit of the season, here’s a photo of snowy downtown McMinnville Oregon, the evening of December 23.

As the local paper, the News-Register, proclaimed, “Knee-deep in winter,” reporting that 18 inches of snow have fallen in the past week, one of the top 10 winter storms in the book. Very unusual for western Oregon, eliciting blanket coverage on local TV.

A Pendleton blanket, of course.

So from and the NAM, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
