You, sir, apparently know nothing about the dangers of uranium mining or Pittsylvania County, VA. Perhaps, since you think it's so safe, you'll buy property and move to Pittsylvania County. Any number of folks there would be glad to swap places with you. Be sure you really like the property you purchase, though; since there is radioactivity (primarily radon gas) associated with the mining, real estate will soon have to be sold under a hazard warning so prices are going to drop through the floor. And they'll stay there as long as the radiation does...at least 1000 or more years. And don't think you can buy upwind or upstream and be safe...Southside Virginia frequently gets backlash from hurricanes and it experiences its own climate pattern that produces tornadoes and flooding, including ground flooding.

If you have school-age children or grandchildren, be sure to bring them along. Their school buses will share narrow, winding roads with multiple trucks loaded with uranium ore spewing dust and more radon gas as they travel. They'll enjoy the massive booms from the frequent explosions that blast the rocks apart and release radon gas and its progeny. And make sure the young'ns stay long enough to grow to adulthood--the health dangers...kidney and lung cancer, just to name two, often don't show up until several years' exposure. But you, and they, will be patriots, at least by your inane definition.
