With the explosion of video on the web — videoblogging, vidcaps, mash-ups and even presidential debates — the NAM realized that we could make even greater use of the new media tools to tell the story of the U.S. manufacturing economy, its great achievements and its many challenges.
So this week we launch the “America’s Business” Vodcast — video podcasting — to bring our radio content online by integrating video, photos and audio interviews in an 8-minute production. In our premiere, for example, you’ll hear from Woody Sutton, the new manufacturing czar at the Department of Commerce; Chris Lawless, vice president of operations at Wilson Tool, will explain how its “lean” operations won it the Manufacturing Alliance’s “Manufacturer of the Year” award. Plus a round-up of top manufacturing news. Great highlights…
The vodcast is downloadable in .m4v format and available as streaming video. To download the file to a mobile video device or watch the vodcast on your PC visit www.americasbusiness.org. The Youtube video is also available here.
