A special Independence Day edition of Cool Stuff Being Made, a video tribute to Diamond Sparkler Manufacturing Co., Inc, “the sole remaining operating sparkler manufacturing facility in the United States. During its peak manufacturing season, Diamond’s production capabilities reach approximately 800,000 sparklers per day.”
That’s a lot of sparkles.
As the video explains, the Youngstown, Ohio manufacturer — part of Phantom Fireworks — fought off unfair Chinese competition and produces better, non-toxic sparklers — they’re heavily tested for safety — that meet the customer’s needs. And they’re fun.
