Presidential Candidates at AFSCME

Jim Geraghty at National Review Online is live-blogging the remarks of Democratic presidential candidates at the AFSCME Legislative Conference. Edwards here, Clinton here, and Obama here.

Edwards:

Edwards said the minimum wage should be $7.50 per hour and indexed for inflation.

When asked by [Chris] Matthews if he feared that there could be intimidation on the union side if card check were passed, Edwards declared flatly, “No. The intimidation I fear is from person who pays their check.”

Isn’t it great that a man who aspires to be president of the United States feels confident enough to slur the nation’s employers? Unfortunately, he’s not alone.

The AFSCME blog, The Greenline, is blogging the event as well.
