Forced Unionization, or Education and Training?

NAM President John Engler in Forbes, calling the Employee Free Choice Act both a bad bill AND a distraction from the real tools to achieve middle-class prosperity:

To raise the quality of life for the middle class, we must move beyond ideological fiction and special-interest legislation, and tackle real issues affecting America’s workforce. As Congress moves forward with its legislative agenda, I sincerely hope it will address programs that are of real benefit to industry and its employees.

Let’s not make Big Labor’s quick fix a substitute for supporting good-paying manufacturing jobs, a responsive educational system and the critical workforce skills to keep our economy strong.
