In all the hubbub surrounding global warming this week, there’s this from the Protein Wisdom blog on a topic we covered almost a year ago, that of the alleged “muzzling” of scientists by the White House. At the time, we Googled “Hansen” (one of the scientists and media darlings alleging censorship), “NASA” (his agency) and “greenhouse” and came up with 197,000 results.
This week the Washington Times reports:
“A NASA scientist who said the Bush administration muzzled him because of his belief in global warming yesterday acknowledged to Congress that he’d done more than 1,400 on-the-job interviews in recent years.”
As we said a year ago, doesn’t look like much of a muzzle to us. But hey — it sure makes for a good story, no?
