Here’s an article from the front page of Monday’s SF Chronicle proving yet again the folly of the political document known as the Kyoto treaty. Never mind that most of the signatories won’t come close to hitting their targets, or that Kyoto itself is having a problem. The fact is that neither China nor India are signatories to the accord, and — as this article points out — China is about to far surpass the US in emissions.
Remember it failed the US Senate (when Al Gore was President of the Senate) by a vote of 95-0. Even John Kerry didn’t support it, although he says now he would have voted for it — after he voted against it, of course.
Like we said, folly.
