The Manufacturing Institute has launched its first foray into promoting manufacturing and its careers on national television with the debut of our CNN Headline News program, Manufacturing: Backbone of the Economy. (click on the program title to view the segment)
This five-minute segment tells the story of manufacturing’s powerful economic contributions, the growing shortage of skilled workers and how the Institute’s Dream It. Do It. careers and economic development campaign can connect young people with manufacturing’s exciting careers.
It features NAM board member Kellie Johnson of ACE Clearwater Enterprises, Institute president Jerry Jasinowski and video footage provided by Caterpillar, Toyota and The Timken Company. This segment will appear on the weekly half-hour educational show, “Pulse on America.” The schedule of airings on CNN Headline News follows:
