US Government Releases ‘Skeptic’s Guide to Global Warming’

By December 10, 2006Global Warming

Score one for reason, rational debate and the scientific method. The US Government, in the form of the Chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, has released “A Skeptic’s Guide to Global Warming.” It is a fairly extraordinary 64-page booklet filled with arguments debunking the global warming theory. You can click here to download a PDF of the report.

While you’re at it, here’s a link to a Wikipedia entry detailing the various scientists who would agree with this “Skeptics Guide” and disagree with amateur filmmaker Al Gore.

And finally, in a related story, cold weather has gripped the nation these days, totally wrecking the global warming buzz. Oh, but wait — we forgot — the weather is only relevant when it’s warming, not when it’s cooling.

I don’t know where you live, but in the East, it’s been warm, not cold. But it’s not any one moment of weather that’s at issue, but a pattern, and it has been HOTTER, dudes and dudettes. The oceans, which do a lot of the breathing for us, are losing that capacity due to warming temperatures. More carbon dioxide, less oxygen. And less ocean life, which means less fish and less food.

The government is neither impartial nor a reliable purveyor of good scientific data. Here is a link to sites with some better data.

Thank god the government always has the best interest of the american people in mind. Otherwise we might be in trouble.
