Taxes, Energy: One More Day, Yes, But Progress!

So thanks to the House — and thanks to those of you who weighed in — on passage of H.R. 6111, the Tax Relief and Health Care Act, which includes major legislative priorities for manufacturers in the United States.

As of 5:15 p.m., Friday, there’s more lawmaking and speechifying to go, including House action to combine the legislation with an important package of trade legislation, and then the bill goes to the Senate. Flux, all is flux. But for the moment, the flux is flexing in the right direction. Congratulations to the 367 House members who sided with the manufacturing economy.
