Friday Follies: Pre-Election Quiz

By November 3, 2006Friday Follies

Friday FolliesOK, we’re finally coming down the home stretch and Election Day is only a few short days away. We know it’ll be hard for all of you to give up on those great commercials. Kinda like hearing your last Christmas song as they dwindle on the airwaves in January. Not to worry, though, the political ads will be back soon enough. After all, the campaign of ’08 is just around the corner.

In any event, there’s so much mud and name calling being flung about, with everyone seemingly being labeled. There are liberals, left-wingers and conservatives and right-wingers. Heck, we don’t even know what we are sometimes.

If you’re in the same boat, here’s a handy-dandy little test for you. It breaks out four key political groups, covering the full spectrum: Conservatives, Liberals, Libertarians and Communists. It’s long — some 179 questions in all — but you can read it at your leisure and see where you fit in on the spectrum.

For example, Question # 16:

A cup with that only contains half a cup of water is…

CONS: Half full.

LIBL: Half empty.

LBRT: An example of shortages caused by government control of our water supply.

COMM: An example of inequitable wealth distribution caused by the inherent social injustice in free enterprise.

You get the idea. There are a bunch of ’em. Click here to read this week’s Friday Follies — and don’t forget to vote!
