But now that you’ve had a chance to look at the vote ratings and to see how your Member of Congress and Senators voted, it’s time to do something about it. Click here and it will take you to a page where you will be able to send your Member of Congress and two Senators a letter about their vote rating. A letter will be automatically generated according to their rating — a “Thanks” letter for those who won our award and a “Thanks for nuttin'” letter for those who did not. You can also personalize the letter. Make sure your employees get this, too.
Time to hold ’em accountable.
UPDATE: (By Carter Wood): Now that you mention it, NAM’s president, John Engler, was in Akron yesterday speaking to the Northern Ohio Energy Management conference. In his remarks, Governor Engler noted the newly released vote ratings as they relate to the U.S. Senate and Governor’s race. Senator Mike Dewine is being challenged by Rep. Sherrod Brown. In the 109th Congress: Dewine, 89 percent NAM rating. Brown: 4 percent. Brown’s improved. His NAM voting record, which you can see here, was 0 in the previous Congress.
The folks in Ohio were very interested in these figures.
