Hey — check this out — a big step: For the first time in any major poll, a majority of Floridians (a narrow majority, but a majority nonetheless) support lifting the ban on drilling 100 miles or more from the Florida coast.
That’s good, since Castro is already drilling 45 miles off the Florida coast, whether Floridians like it or not. So it’s time we get about the business of tapping our own resources, both oil and gas.
In the article, the pollster is quoted as saying, “The rising price of energy has changed the attitudes of many Florida voters.”
