President Bush and President Hu are meeting at the White House this morning. It was an honor to be on the south lawn of the White House to see the arrival ceremony and hear the speeches of the two leaders. It’s a brilliantly sunny day in Washington and the military pomp and ceremony around such an event was dignified and moving. Both presidents struck similar notes on improving relations economically and diplomatically and they briefly addressed better intellectual property enforcement, the Chinese currency and business promotion, in addtion to a range of important foreign policy concerns.
