Good editorial by this title in the WaPo this morning, not sure Lou Dobbs will agree. So much of Lou’s argument against immigration is based on the fact that it depresses wages. However, it appears he got out ahead of the facts once again. Says the Post:
“It sounds obvious that [immigration] must be depressing wages at the bottom. Double the supply of a certain type of labor and you push its price down. But attempts to measure this effect suggest that it’s either modest or nonexistent.”
