NAM President John Engler was in Chattanooga on Tuesday, speaking to some 600 people at the Chattanooga Manufacturers Association, one of the oldest manufacturing associations in the US. He spoke about — what else? — energy, of course. They spend two cents less than the national average per kilowatt hour down there because they have a good supply of energy, including nuclear. Here’s a copy of Gov. Engler’s speech.
Along with the speech, he also toured some local manufacturing facilities. Here’s a link to a story about the trip, which by all accounts turned out just great. Lots of champions of manufacturing down that way, as it turns out. Special thanks to Jim Frierson who shepherded this all through.
