If you are traveling by car this Thanksgiving, you might make a wrong turn and get lost. Thankfully, one NAM member is making trips to the gas station and asking for directions a thing of past. Trimble Navigation is a leading provider of Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Sunnyvale, Calif., Trimble has more than 2,000 employees in more than 20 countries worldwide. Their products are used for a wide variety of applications including agriculture, construction, mapping, military & defense, mining and surveying. Trimble hopes that GPS will become almost as basic as the telephone and indeed one of their products (Trimble Outdoors) allows outdoor enthusiasts to download trips to their GPS receiver or mobile phone.
Be sure to come back tomorrow for our third installment of Manufacturers & Thanksgiving
