Before the sun set on the day, we wanted to say thanks to all of you who weighed in — there were many, you know who you are — on Lawsuit Abuse Week. Today the House passed what we like to call the “Put Down That Fork Act”, the bill that would rein in obesity lawsuits against food companies –0 manufacturers, sellers, etc. Next time, don’t sue, just pass on dessert. In any event, this is one more step toward putting some personal responsibility back into the system. Here’s a link to the Roll Call of this quite lopsided vote.
That’s one down, two more to go. Click here to weigh in with your Member of Congress on the remaining important bills. Let’s finish the job.
