Regular blog readers will recall that earlier this month we posted a tribute to inventor, innovator and manufacturer Leo Sternbach. We were pleasantly surprised to see that his son Michael filed a comment to that post just yesterday that made us proud. It says in part:
Even though the Post obit focused on most of the wrong things, you read it the right way. Thanks for your opinion. We think rather highly of Dad.
Thanks for the note, Michael. We think pretty highly of your dad, too. He exemplified the best in American manufacturing, starting from his immigrant roots to his work ethic and his pride in what he had wrought. And, he loved his work, as most manufacturers do. He has left a mark that few will ever equal.
