Update on Manufacturers’ Role in Katrina Relief

By September 13, 2005Miscellaneous

In 9 days, US manufacturers large and small (the ones we are aware of, a subset of the total) have made over $90 million in cash donations and another $30 million in donations of equipment to aid the relief and rebuilding of the Gulf Coast. Everywhere you look, you see the handiwork of America’s manufacturers. For example, many of the pumps that are still draining the city are made by MWI Corporation, a proud NAM member. These pumps push out 27,000 gallons of water per minute! We are draining the city and we will rebuild it as well through our generosity, innovation and the best manufactured products in the world.

Here’s a link to the updated Honor Roll, so you can see what manufacturers are doing. If you’re not on here but have contributed cash or materials, drop us a note and let us know.
