There are few things in nature as pure as the plastic bottle, so perfect, so elegant, so versatile, so unbreakable. Think of its many uses, the many things it can hold.
You may recall a few weeks ago we put up a video of the aluminum can being made, courtesy of Ball Corporation. Well, here’s another one from Ball Corp., featuring the plastic bottle. It starts off with polyethylene terephthalate (known in the business as PET) and ends up as plastic bottles, some 10 million a day made by Ball Corp. In all, 30 billion plastic bottles a year are used for soft drinks. You might be drinking out of one now.
So sit back and enjoy this 8-minute video. Thanks again to the good folks at Ball for their cooperation and for providing this high-quality video that celebrates the manufacturing process of the plastic bottle.
Anybody else thirsty….?
