It’s too good to pass up an opportunity to plug a manufacturing movie. That’s right, you Johnny Depp lovers, I went to see “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” last weekend and thought it was an excellent – if somewhat bizarre – portrayal of one man who took the concept of manufacturing to a completely new level. Now, I’m not telling you to run out and hire a bunch of squirrels to do your dirty work, but it’s nice to meet a man (albeit a character in a movie) who can think outside the box.
Depp’s porcelain-veneered grin and squeamishness around children brought a new dimension to Willy Wonka even if, at times, he seemed a little Michael Jackson-esque. But creepy is in, right?
