Report from America, v.2: Furthering the Cause of Manufacturing

By June 20, 2005Report from America

Last week found the blogger-in-chief furthering the cause of manufacturing with yet another field trip. We are completely dedicated to manufacturing as you blog readers well know. Besides visiting Behlen Manufacturing in Columbus, Nebraska (see below) earlier in the week, on Friday we were visiting another great American manufacturer at one of their facilities in Williamsburg, Virginia, where manufacturing in North America began with the making of glass some 400 years ago. Along the way, we met some field testers and later sampled some of this manufacturer’s products, thinking it rude to visit without doing so. For those of you who’ve not made the trek, we’d recommend it as we found it very worthwhile — in an educational, manufacturing way, of course.

All in a day’s work.
