Lou’s on a tear today. His website says he featured two members of Congress who want us to withdraw from the World Trade Organization (WTO). We don’t want to say they — or Lou — are outside the mainstream, but the Congressional resolution to withdraw from the WTO failed today by a squeaker margin of 338 to 86. Not many bills fail by that large a margin, but Louie threw in with the 86. He’s melting.
Also on his website is his nightly questionnaire, “Why do you believe President Bush’s approval rating has fallen?” We must’ve missed the “When did you stop beating your wife?” question. Next week, maybe he’ll tee up, “Why do you think my ratings are falling?”
He also interviews a county commissioner from Idaho (and a Mexican-American) who plans to sue employers who hire illegal immigrants. Apparently this guy has tried to have his county declared a disaster area because of the strain of illegal immigration and has sent a bill to the Mexican government for the cost of maintaining services to illegal aliens from Mexico.
Are you noticing a pattern among the people Lou chooses to lionize?
