Yup, it’s energy week around the NAM and around Washington. Just look at our website, you’ll see it jumping off the page.
Today, NAM President John Engler is speaking at an energy efficiency forum (where President Bush will speak this morning) sponsored by Johnson Controls, the Alliance to Save Energy and the Manufacturing Institute. At the Forum, he’ll release a report entitled, “Efficiency and Innovation in US Manufacturing Energy Use“. The book looks at barriers that prevent energy efficiency improvements and it highlights some best practices as well. It dovetails nicely with the study we issued on Monday. Let’s hope this moves some of those recalcitrant Senators along on this energy bill, and that we start down the road toward more affordable natural gas and energy prices.
