National Manufacturing Week

By March 7, 2005General

This week, the manufacturing universe moves to McCormick Place in Chicago for National Manufacturing Week. It really is a great show, and you see thousands of manufacturers proudly showing their wares, the best that American manufacturers have to offer. Very inspirational to be walking the floor.

There will be a Manufacturing Town Hall Meeting tomorrow (Tuesday), featuring John Engler, Assistant Secy for Manufacturing Al Frink and Don Wainwright, head of the President’s Mfg Council, former Chair of the NAM and Baldridge Award winner. It’s at 2 p.m. EST, 1 p.m. Central time, and you can find it then by clicking on this link.

In honor of this week, Rep. Paul Gillmor (R-OH) has sponsored a resolution, H. Res. 16, the “National Manufacturing Week Resolution“.
